Hafler, Shamfler, So, do I wait on the meters or kick it to rthe curb. Spends much longer here it may like to stay!!

Kick it to the curb, I have a Wards Airline Power amp that needs some attention. :reindeer:

Re: Larry's 700B

Forget the meters. I know you have the money to keep it. I'm just not in that mood yet. LOL

Have you tried it with the 4400 yet?

Larry

Re: Larry's 700B

NOT IN THE MOOD????????? DUDE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! NO. I haven't tried it with the 4000 yet. The 4000 has 1 more phono input than the 3300. So, are you SURE???? And I want that 700 in your possession so you start feeling guilty and send me all your AA and Perpetual Tech gear!! :flower:

Web, change out transistor #1, if that doesn't do it, change out transistor #2.

Guilty me feel guilty. Naw I have to be in a selling mood. Have been looking for some mods for the 4000.. Might go on my Carver site and see what I can come up with' Is it a series II? The original 4000 is a quad unit. I haven't looked for a manual yet. Did you put the Alps in the 700B? Just wondering.

Found some for the Hafler. So I may mod it before I sell it. Sounds good now; but I think I can make it better.

Gotta get these tapes done so I can bring the labs out here and start doing my thing. Will have to see what all I do. LOL

I tried that, but the skeet shooting holes through the main circuit board make it hard to solder the pins down. :rabbit:

Re: Larry's 700B

Larry, its a Series I. Haven't even opened it up yet, tonight might be the night. I'll get a manual coming from Rick tonight I need one anyway. The Alps option I had didn't turn out, could not find 2 that were within 10,000 ohms of each other. They are 100k singles if you want to hustle up a pair.

Web, find larger leaded components.

Re: Larry's 700B

Mouser has the blue velvets for like 6.00. To many options for me to know what you need. So can you go on there and order what you need.

Re: Larry's 700B

Re: Larry's 700B

OK, bought and downloaded the daqarta Pro test package. I can now do freq response, DISTORTION analyzing, and everything else I can think of. This thing is amazing. Gonna take awhile to figure it out, then a full retest of the aforementioned -------amp---.
