Interrupted the work for an on going e-mail session with Joe at White Oak Audio, Dayam, this guy is SHARP!! Sent me a layout of the new PL14A/ board, it's a thing of beauty. Same basic premise, but God is it layed out nice. Anyway, back to the 700B.
The discussion was about the input coupling cap, at factory 2.2, not the best for LOW FREQUENCY response. We will now have 4.7 bypassed with .1 polypropelyene, or even better polystryene. C6 will be bypassed with a.1 polystryene, and C4...............................BUHAAAAAAAAAA
After looking at my notes a Spec 2 is input coupled with a 4.7............See where I'm going with this??
Granted that adjusts the break freq from 6.4 to 3.0Hz(Thanks Joe) (not to mention the harmonics) but hey if you're building something that will register 7.9 on the Richter Scale a guy's gotta do what a guys gotta DO!!!!!!!!!
