Kevin's "I Want a Phase Linear 700 B White Oaked" thread

Joe 4 new knobs headed your way. tracking #962223115000555

Preliminaries---DC offset , left .002, right .003 Bias, .380 and rising on both, still have plenty of adjustment left for warmup. I have a good feelin about this one. Q1, Q2---TIS-97's , poor boy matched. Q6 -(bias) 2N5088. Joe-ya did good on the 5088's.

I have to get around to testing the MPSA18 in that Q6 location as well Lee

Glad to hear you are loving it John. It was touch and go there for a few moments but seems you grabbed victory in this amp. Good job.

The sound is what made Phase Linear so successful.

Yup, high gain, low noise, higher Vceo than the 2N5088. Both good choices however.

Don's DC PCB did not trip until I put 456 watts of 9.5hz sinewave through it. We'll take that.

That amp's output is flat as the Utah salt flats, definitely flatter than a pancake. Superb work Lee and Joe.

Yes, sound quality, and the wonderful power of these amps is why, 40 years later, we're still jacking around with these things, and will for more than 40 more I'm guessing.
