Thanks joe. I like the way this one turned out too. Can't believe how quiet it is. With no source turned on, pre-amp at full (>5 volts) ear up to the mid horn not perceptible!! I did reroute the AC in this one. I'm real interested to see the S/N ratio.

Mark, this would have been in the period where Bob's brother was winding them, so.......

Getting that AC segregated makes a definite difference. Working on that in a 700B right now.

Lee, you have a 'scope, you might have to use a cord cheater to unground it. You can center the Time/Div to show 60Hz (10 msec/div works good for me) and run the probe around inside the chassis of the amplifier to locate the hotspots (hum). I was surprised where I found the most hum, and it was easy to fix by moving the wire. If there is a loose AC connection, your 'scope will read off the scale.

Awesome. Btw we still need to work the deal on the 3300 and 1000 too. Got my 5000 in Friday. Have to fix the power switch though. Its loose. I want to clean all the controls anyway. Cant wait till LS gets here. I have been giving the pig quite the work out too. Also hooked up my Norman Labs Model 82's as front speakers on my surround system replacing the front Mirage nanoset's. Made a big difference. Any music ya can think of I might burn for ya. Do you have a turntable or rtr.

CHICKEN????? Those meds must be good!!

Lickety Split drove the horns to a very respectable 119 DB. There was more to get, but I don't want to blow it up before I run the final tests.

Yes sir. I really like the 7's and 8's. The 82's are pretty small. Extremely well made and really worked well replacing the front satellite speakers on the Denon surround sound system.
I am in the process of rebuilding them. With all new drivers. Pull one tweeter and put a mid it its place.
