ok...lets just check it....want me to check the caps etc on the board?...only have a esr meter....so not very sophisticated stuff...and am not an expert at all...can go to caps...offset....bias...but thats it...and deox pots....and very good detail cleaning....lol...I dont think its a bad cap or something....it would be much worst sound...if you tell me everything is ok after checking it,I ll just put it on ebay one day and we ll start fresh with another one...no problem...no rush....just let me know when ok for you....am out of the country all month of July...
Instead of eBay, maybe offer it here???

AND, I could have wounded it testing, been known to do that....but when that happens it's usually not that subtle. Just fixed a 400 full comp that had 3 bad resistors in it and it sounded like SHIT....

220V....

hi Lee,

question from a customer who might be interested in a modified 700B....can the transformer be rewired to receive 220V input or is an external one the only option?...I know the Accuphase have like a wiring connectors bar and different options for different voltages....thanks

Pl ran some amps with dual voltage. If not, 120 is the only option, other than a custom outboard power supply. I shouldn't say only option, I'm sure Schumcher could wind ya one...
