of course.....its leaving tomorrow morning....the fedex guy didnt want to wait 3 minutes for me to take out the unit and change stickers....so had to call for pick up..

.....a bit more of testing....on old pl,bass guitar is strongly there togheter with bass drum...both tight....on converted unit,bass drum is much more proeminent than bass guitar...kind of making guitar disapear behind a strong bass drum.....and still the same non aerial sound...more muffled...more to come...thanks..

did a bit more listening....if possible I would like to send back to recheck it....just let me know when is best for you...no rush...connected it to back speakers now...whenever you want send me the case...its best to transport it.....thanks..

.....am trying to understand this.....there isnt much difference between both amps....one has backplanes.....the other one doesnt...how come sounds so different?..both are redone completly...would hate to send it back to you ,and you finding nothing wrong with it...lol..maybe its just me prefering the sound of the old one...possible I guess...

Joe.....am I going crazy?..lol...

Johan , on my K's the guitars are not drowned out by the bass. Of course the mid and tweet have multiple taps on an autotransformer that sets the mid level, I haven't had to adjust for an amp, but have had to for different drivers. Every speaker is different, and those may image a lot different than mine so yiou may be hearing things I'm not. It'sall subjective. What leads me to believe it ain't right is you don't think it is right. Your's is only the 4th 700 ever done with backplanes and the driver board could have some components that got by quality control..

Not a problem Johan, we'll get it to where ya like it, I'll have a new board ready for it when it gets here. It'll be a 2 day turnaround...

Everyone who has heard both the quasi and full comp models prefer the full comp, you may not, I have everything to convert it back if you prefer that route, leaving the driver board in of course...

ok...lets just check it....want me to check the caps etc on the board?...only have a esr meter....so not very sophisticated stuff...and am not an expert at all...can go to caps...offset....bias...but thats it...and deox pots....and very good detail cleaning....lol...I dont think its a bad cap or something....it would be much worst sound...if you tell me everything is ok after checking it,I ll just put it on ebay one day and we ll start fresh with another one...no problem...no rush....just let me know when ok for you....am out of the country all month of July...
