Yes I did Lee, as far as I know, no one knows why they are different. Certainly it does not make any sense from an electrical balance standpoint especially as it makes the left channel gain lower than the right channel. This was measurable in my earlier testing before swapping R2L out as long as I solved the inherent ground loop problem. The ground loop upset things on the left channel so the gain difference was not that noticeable.

So if you want my educated guess, Phase used R2L to compensate for some of the effects of the ground loop. It did not fix the distortion issue on the left channel however. You see how the distortion figures cleaned right up after I fixed the ground loop an changed R2L to the proper value.

Naaah (although it helps heheh)... seriously, I couldn't ask for such a group of great guys and gals here

Makes me want to give back.. soon.. and quickly! If I get a few hours of free time this weekend, I'll see about continuing the work on those bolt-on apps for the forum. Gotta get back to that traveling tape tracker app, for example. It's just been so dang tough with all the work turmoil, but that's slowly getting back under control.

Last night i pushed the White Oak 1000 of Jerry's to at least the K's limits, I think. There will be no music in the house for a day or two as my ears are still ringing. I have NEVER had ANYTHING this loud in my house(includes all the women i've ever been involved with). I was tired of the nusiance blowing of the 3 amp fuses in the crossovers so in went some 5 amps. Not the smartest thing to do but I wanted to see how loud they would get now that there was enough clean power to actually push them to their limits. About 30 minutes of Shpongle and crystal Method my ears could take it no more. in anticipation of this the flatsreen was removed from the room as was every lightbulb. The 2.2uf Sonicaps and the 10 ohm 10 watt swamping resistors in the crossovers actually blew up. The caps split lenghtwise then opened up like a blossom on a flower, the resistors blackened then started to smoke.
Al Klappenberger (the designer of the crossovers) recommended these particular spare parts if I was ever going to get "stupid" with the crossovers (gotta love Al, he pulls no punches), those spare parts are now installed and everything is OK.
But Jeez..........................

I've been to one concert maybe that was this loud or louder. I have achieved my goal.

Right now I am working on circuit optimization to minimize turn on and turn off thump. Making some progress. The PL20 build is much better than the stock PL14 build in that regard.

Ok, I just turned off the 700 and it is terrible in that regard. he turn ON thump is worse than the turn OFF thump. With the protect PCB's in line they cut the speaker off/on with the poweer switch so that's taken care of, but it does get severe.

Even if you have a 700B with the PL14B board can you populate the board to reflect the Pl020 version?? i mean we just converted a PL0171 to a 14, why couldn't it just as easily been a Pl020??
