That was for investment casting (Lost Wax process). I got a cheaper quote (not by much) for CNC'd/anodized handles. I think I will order some.
ah bummer, the 3 13/16 " spacing didn't work out? Oh well that's great work getting those made! good job!Well, I sprung for several pairs of the handles and I only had them done in 100mm (4") which will bolt up to the 700B and the Clair models.

Is there enough meat at the base like you talked about to have them simply drilled for the 400's?We don't know if they'll fit. With the slop of the old 400 Faceplate (they are also 1/4 or 5/16th's hole size) and the new handles are 10-32, there may be 3/16" room. I may have some made if there is interest.

I think I figured out (using Navy math), that we only had to move the holes inward .04 inches on each hole in the handle to fit the 400
That ain't much and with the existing 400 Faceplate holes being about 5/16", it may work as is.
That's a good point, you might not have to at all.
I would like to replace my 2nd 400 with a 700b ideally and would definitely like the handles to match
Awesome, thanks! When the handles arrive in a week or so, I'll send you a set to try on the 400. If they fit, great, if not, I'll have the next set drilled accordingly.
I have sold off several sets already so it should not take long to get them done.. did you find a 700B candidate for building or were you just going to get one already WOPL'd?
Handles are in polishing.
Then off to anodizing. Hope to see the finished product in person in a week or 2.
