Anything worth doing is worth doing well...
And you're the master of that Joe - beautiful chassis. How much more room is there compared to the original one?

Has the veil lifted yet D2?
Wot relieves me the most, is THAT x-former still worked. It would've been a tragedy if it didn't. [… although, I did have a Plan B if it hadn't]
I can sleep at nights now.
The X-former looks like its had a hard life, but I didn't once doubt it, those things are TOUGH! Can imagine how much work it did on the road.
It's from a touring JANDS [AU] Clair Bros. PA.
That particular 700 II was in a truck rollover.
There was a rack of 4 that took a terrible beating.
I still have one of 'em left, but it sadly needs a new faceplate. [impossible to find, unless you buy a whole amp with it!]
Yep! Saw the video of ur amp. Pretty crazy when people upload vids of their Amps working! LoL….
U'r just gonna luv this thing exponentially D2. The more u play it, the more u'll luv it…. It never ends.<script type="text/javascript" src="safari-extension://com.ebay.safari.myebaymanager-QYHMMGCMJR/6f136b72/background/helpers/prefilterHelper.js"></script>
This has to be one of the coolest threads I've read here. I'm so happy for you D2 and it all started with G and the beat to hell amp. Look at it now - what an amazing story. Lee did a bang up job and it was exciting to watch the final pieces come together.
I hate to say this but you'll need a bit more practice with your soldering D2 - but those last joints you soldered came out real well. I'd love to come over to give it a listen but alas...
Take care guys!
I have not left my listening seat since I woke up from my nap at 430pm, its now 830pm and I still havnt got christmas wrapping or house work done!! Being a lazy bastard with the two 300 cd changers running on random, full of surprises!
That transformer has a long history and some great soul. 108 volts on the rails!!!! Broken in nicely.
