I like the silver too. I have a combination of silver and black components in my setup. I have decided to hook the WOPL up to my old audiotone 12 inch speakers for testing before I try it with my JBLs, just to get a feel for it. Getting Excited!

No, the thermoswitch opens wayyyyyyyyyybefore there's any output damage....

I forgot to put the fan on when testing my friend's 700 on the bench. Suddenly the scope went flatline. I thought for sure I had blown it up since I was in the middle of doing the current sharing test. I thoght the probe had slipped or something. After I shut it all down, I heard the thermo switch go "tink" and I realized what had happened. No damage to anything but I thought for sure I was going to be eating a set of output devices.

What does the front of the face plate look like? Also will there be VU needle meters or the LED type?

Faceplate...no scratches or gouges....a little dirty..they have a tendency to get that way during a build..
