Unfortunately track 2 isn't the "Love Machine" track by Supermax.... (especially the 12" edit; super analogue disco alike synthy shit from the mid seventies!)

Daren: Thanks for offering up a couple of references to polar opposites in audio formats: flash drive and vinyl records. Now, perhaps like a few others of you who never stopped using vinyl, I become a little jealous of newbies who have a new-found interest in this format. But, that comes from the perspective of an old codger who likes doing it the ol' way.

Nando.

Roughly 10 g's for a playback deck...15 for one that records.. no thanks. I like the basic gray looking machine. The others are too flashy for a reel deck IMO.

Miles: Is that your B-77? It's decked out in festive red reels - well within the tasteful boundary.

Really, I think it's not over the top at all, Miles. What was the last mix reel you recorded? I know what you are capable of on cassette - open-reel is a big step up in performance. I haven't recorded a mix reel in over a year. Douglas (Nick Danger) and I have a mix reel exchange planned for the New Year. He has a jump on me because he is already compiling his selections.

Nando,

I would really love to sent you something I've done on 1/4 inch tape, but it will cost me a fortune to send such a tape.
Besides of that; most of it is done using high speed (38cm/s), and not every tapemachine is capable to handle that.
