I concur.

They would also look cool if they were resting on something like this.

I took a scrap lumber I-beam/truss, painted it black and cut some large scrap dowling, painted them silver and attached them at intervals on both sides for a 'phone tree. It cost me nothing more than the screw and paint I already had.

I have only viewed a few minutes, but this Pioneer feature looks informative. I will try and watch the whole thing when time permits.

@Nando - have you seen this before?

Yes, Daren, I've seen it. However, I cherry-picked the moments in time I like to revisit. I see a few of my components within the video - like the Elite gear featured from the 80's.

Nando.

Daren: I bet the Dragon moniker gets re-issued. Yup, a cassette deck would have been a neat choice to announce the company's new partnership.

I don't think so... too expensive and a market that's way too small for an overaged technology like cassettedecks.

We can all dream.

A limited edition run of newly manufactured decks from Nakamichi would (I'm sure) be a lossmaker but the publicity and goodwill generated would be priceless.

Digest?

I have used various incarnations of Winamp down the years. Apparently, the plug is going to be pulled in a couple of weeks.

To be honest; I've never used a thing like Winamp, so for me nothing will be lost.

I read this last week. Meant to post about it but forgot. Sad news really. I been using Winamp as long as I have been around computers. Never had a computer when I was younger. Friends got me into pc's around 96 or 97. I will download the latest version before the 20th. Not sure what ill switch to when the time comes.
