I took a scrap lumber I-beam/truss, painted it black and cut some large scrap dowling, painted them silver and attached them at intervals on both sides for a 'phone tree. It cost me nothing more than the screw and paint I already had.
Yes, Daren, I've seen it. However, I cherry-picked the moments in time I like to revisit. I see a few of my components within the video - like the Elite gear featured from the 80's.
It would have been cool if they had announced their arrival by introducing a new cassette deck. That could have added some excitement to the current hi-fi market that seems to be dominated by ultra expensive high-end products, DACs and headphones.
I have a small tubed Panasonic black and white Speed-O-Vision TV that had tubes glowing red like that before the hold went out...thought they were overvoltaged.
A limited edition run of newly manufactured decks from Nakamichi would (I'm sure) be a lossmaker but the publicity and goodwill generated would be priceless.
I read this last week. Meant to post about it but forgot. Sad news really. I been using Winamp as long as I have been around computers. Never had a computer when I was younger. Friends got me into pc's around 96 or 97. I will download the latest version before the 20th. Not sure what ill switch to when the time comes.
