I like the idea of releasing stuff on flash drives. I recall that the White Stripes put out something on a USB stick a while back.

Daren: Thanks for offering up a couple of references to polar opposites in audio formats: flash drive and vinyl records. Now, perhaps like a few others of you who never stopped using vinyl, I become a little jealous of newbies who have a new-found interest in this format. But, that comes from the perspective of an old codger who likes doing it the ol' way.

I haven't recorded a mix reel in over a year. Douglas (Nick Danger) and I have a mix reel exchange planned for the New Year. He has a jump on me because he is already compiling his selections.

I would really love to sent you something I've done on 1/4 inch tape, but it will cost me a fortune to send such a tape.
Besides of that; most of it is done using high speed (38cm/s), and not every tapemachine is capable to handle that.
