Daren: It's surprising to see the vinyl record production line uses lots of manual labour. But, judging by the old machines being reutilized, that's a step back into the 70's. What a paradox - old assembly lines being used to make a product which is slowly becoming of age...again.

If it keeps people employed, it has to be a good thing. I just wonder if this vinyl revival has now peaked.

Time will tell.
 
Vinyl peaked? I doubt it. I loved the last video link you posted, Daren. That's a remarkable process for cutting records. It's worth watching again.

Very interesting Daren and thanks for sharing those links, i read somwhere indeed that vinyl peaking is extremely obvious especially in UK and i can't tell the same about my area where not much new vinyl or at all can be found, i'll stick with auction sites around till the fever will hit the whole Europe and i strongly hope that.. :-P

It's most likely my promised mix will have this as an new workingtitle.
Unfortunately I've lost (due to computerproblems..) almost all the audiofiles that were meant for the "Far From Home" one, including the master.

So, have a little more patience there Daren.

Patience is not a problem.

I'm sorry to hear about your PC troubles Miles. Despite my intention to go "all digital" sometime in the foreseeable future, I am becoming increasingly tired of modern technology.

All of a sudden I have become weary of this app and that app. I'm seriously thinking about replacing my computer with an abacus and trading in my phone for a carrier pigeon.

Retro-tech here we come!

One of the main reasons why I prefer analog is to avoid being dependent on computers and digital systems.
