Ed, he mentioned something to you about it. There is not a service manual for a 700 PRO. A series II with a service bulletin is what you get, but Ed can confirm.

Yeah, series II service manuals have a section for bulletins but there are none in the manual. Just thought somebody might have what I need. I need to look at the schematic and parts list soon.

Damn, just got off the phone with Ed. The man is cool as hell and a walking encyclopedia. Cripes, he starting talking this IC and that pinout and I was like WHOA, this dude knows his shit while my braincells got scrambled!!! Thank goodness we'll be sort of neighbors and I can bug him with questions LOL!!!!

Pleasure to meet you Ed! Can't wait to talk again! I will work on getting as detailed pics as I can for you

Been listening on and off since I fired it up. I really think the bias needs to be adjusted but the amp sounds sweet as it is. I won't try it with the Vega's though until I can afford to get whatever needs to be done but the Bose and Infinity's will be seeing steady use. I have not even turned the M-504 on today LOL and I am using little ass speakers!!!!! Took a piece of what Ed said about the gain knobs and just firewalled them. Just have to be careful I don't hit the limit of the Infinity's

You know how boned I was earlier Perry? I went and opened the CD player to flip the disc over.... even I laughed at that one

Oh yeah, I flipped the power cord and the sound pretty much disappeared

Congrats Ron:hello1:

Welcome to the "700 club"
I have a 700II that Ed built about ten years ago (full comp) and it is killer.
A WOPL is also in a future build on my original 700B

cheers
Thanks Mike! It would not have happened either unless I had that set of killer cables you made me!!!

Yer like a kid in the candy store.... glad you are having fun. I too was on the phone with Ed for quite some time.... he knows his shit. And then some. Nice guy too. Don't forget to pay the electric bill.... I got some good stuff from Dennis in the mail.... can't wait to go through it. I'm changing out 24 transistors on a CLAIR full of white whale spooge..... Damn I hate that shit.

No such things as bad days, just bad moments
Welcome Ron,
Glad those cables were their when you needed them.
And here's a Retro babe to go with your new Retro amp.

"ron would you play this lp for me?"
If you zoom in real close right next to her butt, it looks like the LP could be on the Masterseal label.

Hooked up my amp today, works great, meters do not agree with each other but that does not affect the sound, need to find an HD radio tuner so I can get rid of the FM radio noise and have clean classical music

Hi
Great score having a Clare Brothers Amp. Try cleaning the high low meter switch if the meter are acting different . I am feeling a little left out not having one of these amps. Enjoy

All the parts/repair amps are all gone. Gonna have some restored amps coming up for sale. I'm starting on them on the 17th of Dec. Doing 2 sets of 2 consecutive numbers amps. Let me know if anybody is interested.

I have just discovered that my amp does have a problem, somehow I do not think that the output transistors should give me a 120 volt AC shock when I touch them so something is leaking AC but it is not making it to the speakers because there is no hum at all

Eric, there is no transistor covers apparently. Don't touch them LOL, of course your going to feel a tingle

That is a Skynyrdism, thou shall not touch the output transistors
