Busy nocturne at Chez Orange with fun pics of my crap etc.

I got much of my new shed organized, with just a little left in the old one. Got the volume/balance control on my SX-D7000 out and ready to swap the wire wraps once I locate the replacement. Got a thrown away VHS HiFi VCR to load and work properly (it got itself back in whack mostly but the proof is there). Dinner to celebrate. The yard is all cleaned, now I'm working in here. I need to free some space to look over that Roberts reel deck and figure out how I get the rod free from the record/play switch, but otherwise the amp is free.

First Daylight Saving Time bug...my darn cordless phones don't change the time unless SOMEBODY CALLS...called a friend after 10 pm, not 9 then called the operator to call and straighten that out!

Need to finish some taping them pack the Pioneer I promised a Tapehead before they had hard times. I even offered to trade it instead of selling it to get a duplicate JVC KD-D40 chassis in the hopes I can get one or the other fixed (no power on mine, bad hub gear on his). I'm finishing the Scorpion8 Country mixtapes that the Scott dual deck would otherwise record fast and cut off "Jose Cuervo" (IEEEE!)

I sleep nights.

you sure got a lot going on lately, jeez.

actually we ourselves just finished putting yet another RUBBERMAID shed up in our backyard,
to house more of the excess we have had in the house now for years.
when my father parted ways with us (me, my little sister, and mother) back in 2005,
we had to lose our house and downsize dramatically, and winded up in this little duplex,
overcrowded with a much larger houses' worth of crap.

we've been making slow progress at getting it the hell out of here over the last several years,
and getting a series of sheds up in the backyard has been most beneficial...

my grandma's husband (deceased in 2011) had a powder blue PONTIAC CATALINA from early 70's or perhaps slightly older vintage
that he kept running for decades, from as far back as my childhood memory goes, up until around 2003ish,
when it finally broke down to the point where he was evidently ready to replace it,
rather than attempt another repair. perhaps he could no longer source parts? at any rate, that sucker must have had SO MANY MILES,
what with the long daily commute he made in it to his industrial pattern-making job that he had held from the 70's up until his retirement around 2005-ish...

I'm inside...he's probably not. :tongue1:

No Laz, nothing inside about that, accomplished thread hijacking, a refined art here...

Butt seriously...

I've got six days left until my inspection and while the house will pass okay electrically and otherwise I have to finish cleaning and sorting so I'm working on that and trying to sell a few things along the way. I have to make a trip to the post office shortly as well.

More pictures, got the carpet swept and vacuumed up front by the door to the kitchen and some toward the other end in the living room.

Things went OUT and then in or IN the dumpster.

Time to sleep.

I finally passed the inspection, the house is again wide open and I'll have some really nice pictures for you by Monday. I sold some more stuff and should now have enought to finish paying the power bill. There is more to be done and more to fix, sell, give away and such-I still need more decent cassette shelving (wall shelves) that I can place four deep in the old closet in my work area.

I need to sell my Optimus (Sony) 60 disc slot load changer too. I had a friend help me get a Pioneer PD-F908 101 disc file changer for the bedroom, it will play ever the cheapest of my burned CDs and won't fuss and I just have to fix the door that sticks on closing. $15 and shipping, 40 total.

Now I can concentrate on what matters most again, my happiness.

It's gonna be easier now but it's still a hard time right now. Mom is in a clamshell brace afte back surgery last month (discs, rods were inserted) and I miss seeing her more often and on top of that she told me she's totally deaf in one ear and partially in the other and has to get a hearing aid. I've been so tired the last day, physically and mentally so today has been a little more bitter than sweet.

Okay, the old Frigidaire is defrosted and now I'm cleaning and getting ready to get a better one in the morning, as well as putting the house back together.

The fridge reapers should be here around the top of the hour...:thin:

I once had the services of local 'frig reapers here - they even took the upright freezer which was quite dead - and it was free! Nice to have folks to take things that you just can not deal with yourself.
