Never noticed anything loose in the amp. Maybe I didn't look close enough or it happened on the way to you. I did add some extra foam in the case (the pink stuff) to try and shore it up a bit.
You need a good pre with that amp. The amp is a very sweet piece for sure. It has the authority and the reserves to get your tunes and speakers hoppin'. I hope to have one someday but am not holding my breath as they are getting popular and pricey. The more guys like you and I continue to reinforce the praise that guys like Lee and the others have already posted the harder and more expensive they get. Hopefully the new production models (if that ever happens) will be within reach.....

Yep this officially makes my jolida sound like shit.. It's so clean and detailed! I can just imagine with a real pre! So much more musical than the jolida! My speakers are kickin ass with this. It's really bringing them to life. I think I'm gonna call dude in Chicago and see if I can use that modwright pre for a week or something. With that pre and the WOPL I'm might never leave my listening chair lol

I saw the Jer. I have no bucks so maybe just a look over and checking the bias would probably be it unless you have other not super costly ideas besides the face plate and fuses. Maybe you could tinker with the meters a little more. A couple times when I turned her on, they would swing and drop to where they should be. Not sure what the issue is with them. I know that Sally's meters seem to react a lot more then Blackies, more sensitive? I like that a lot indeed
I am amazed the Sally NEVER gets hot... I mean NEVER no matter how loud I crank her. You built one hell of a majestic amp in Sally Jer, every hat I own is off to you!!! I think the fans on her will be used for Blackie as Blackie does get angry sometimes LMAO and her temp comes up quick when she is firewalled
