Speaking of copper. The UPS guy was very good to me today. Enough to do 2 complete sets of 700 heatsinks. Ed has a 700B that did not come with heatsinks. He is putting that particular 700B together for his personal use. He is running a laatsch55 built White Oak Driver board, and a set of custom heatsinks. Should keep us in limited supply, special PL parts fellers.

Decided not to go with the bracket mounts, too much trouble for what ya got. This is the simple ,net, clean, way.....
I like the way you mounted those - funny I'd been thinking of something along those lines ever since I cracked open my 400. I noticed the mounting fastener is not using the same tapped hole as the bridge rectifier. Just curious if you drilled and tapped it or...

It is the standard White Oak cap mounting method Dennis. PL used a self tapping 10-24 screw through the bridge which effectively taps the die casting.

Yes, as Joe as iterated there is a hole , waiting, to be exploited. 1 minute with a 10-24 tap and a classy allen head and .....voila'

Until ya go to put on the faceplate!! It's always the mechanical things. So, thgis time we will utilize the BR hole with a stud and nt for the BR and another one for the hold down clamp.
