Well, I got home from work last night and made up my mind that I was not quitting until the WOPL Was Up 100% and jamming. IT IS ALIVE. Everything Ohmed out good, voltages check out. I hooked up my Epicure 20+ speakers to it and it is doing the break in run. So far so good. I rebuilt the left channel and that cured my issues. It has been a hell of a bumpy road but I think I got it figured out. Thanks for all the help everybody, I'll soon be ready to do my other kit (Nagasaki) but I'm going to need a couple parts.

ROCK ON.

Hiroshima has risen from the ashes on PHOENIX.....

I'll post some pics when it gets cleaned and buttoned up.

Shit, my speakers wont handle it. I have to get a fan first so I can run my CornScala's. I'm way happy today. It's been running for the last 5 hours...

still experimenting with the wire layout, With my shielded inputs I put power next to them and still got zero noise (that I could tell). I even put it in the dishwasher and still no noise.... Put a crappy video up of it too, after racking my brain troubleshooting and getting stressed out, I could barely keep a thought straight. A lot of head scratching and a few F'enhiemers were flying but well worth it in the end. I've built speakers quite a bit but never a project like this.

Impossible to get good clear pics.... Oh well, I'm a squid not a photographer.

Amen Perry. What gets me is even though my K's are super efficient, I can immediately tell the difference between a 400 and 700. The 700's have soooopoooo much headroom a deep bass passage or difficult crescendo comes off so effortless. The fact the background noise is now a black hole, and it reproduces faithfully whatever is inputted is a glorious plus. You now own one of the best amps on the planet....AND YOU CAN FIX IT!!!!!

Well, I enjoyed the WOPL 1000 for a few hours and I sold it to a friend. I hated to let it go but I got another almost ready and 2 more units to upgrade showing up. I'll then have 3. I probably should sell another one. It was hard to put a price on it since I have never seen one for sale. Besides, I'd need an electrician to redo my house just so I could run 2..... Whatta ya gonna do???? I also got rid of the Onkyo 504 to make room for PL's. ANYBODY NEED A WOPL 1000????

Damn

Always learning!
Can we ask what your friend's review of the amp was when he heard it? Did he know of a WOPL before you introduced him to it?

I wish had I known that the M-504 was available, I think I had expressed an interest in it to you quite awhile ago

He'd never heard one before. He left out of town after he paid for it and I'll be taking it to his house as soon as he returns so he can audition it on HIS equipment. He trusts my judgment and if he doesn't like it's sound on his equipment, I'll hand him his cash back but I doubt that will happen. It's that good.

Yeah, and shipping and everything adds another 70-100 with insurance. This time I just have to drive 2 miles.
That is a plus indeed! Shipping one of those behemoths is tough, they are double the size of a PL amp in dimensions. Thankfully, my entire Integra system of components was delivered!!!! When I am not running the WOPL, the M-504 does a great job, they are very good amps and I have zero complaints with them. They take a Ron beating very well and ask for more
