The GNR was 99 cents? or is that just a misprint?

I stopped purchasing from ebay some time ago. I used to buy a lot from there. Especially when I lived up north and had no record shop to frequent. Now though... with shipping rates...ebay and paypal fees, and the added expense of shipping to canada, as well as soooo many american sellers refusing to ship to canada, ebay is a waste of my time these days.

That said, some of the real gems I picked from there back in the day have held their value real well. Some of those being an original No More Tears, and Van Halens Balance LP.

So... your wondering why there is two eh? Let's see if any Iron Maiden fans might guess why!!!
Cuz your sending one to me......:thumbleft: The misprint is so very cool, Ron! Great one for the collection. Is one a Japanese and the other the Greek pressing?

They are both Japanese pressings Doug. The Greek release is supposedly a bootleg, I don't have that one yet, it has not been a priority (yet) :laughing5:

Maybe after I finally get a original Soundhouse Tapes (yeah right)

Looking for a copy of Soundhouse myself. The copies I have come across recently are either beat or a bit pricey.

$800-1000+ these days for a minty copy man. I keep holding out for a trade deal. It's like G 'n R Live Like a %$@# Suicide, I am biding my time for a sealed copy which is $200-250 these days, I'd rather trade

Another decent haul for next to nothing at a thrift shop:

The Jam: In the City
The Jam: Sound Effects
The Who: Odds & Sods
The Who: By Numbers
Johnny Cash: Original Golden Hits
Chuck Berry: Golden Decade
Howard Menger: Authentic Music From Another Planet
Waka and Other Compositions: Contemporary Music of Japan by Folkways Records
Sonny Rollins: The Bridge
Blue Sky Boys: A Treasury of Rare Song Gems from the Past
Lords of the New Church: S/T
Thomas Dolby: The Golden Age of Wireless
Eddie Condon All Stars: Jam Session
James & Martha: Early Gospel Greats
Dave Brubeck: Two Generations of Brubeck
The Hiltonaires: Hold 'Im Joe
Lyle Lovett: Pontiac

A couple of the covers are rough, but all the vinyl is all just about perfect, except for a couple pressing issues with the Hiltonaires, typical of old Jamaican vinyl. The Sonny Rollins is unfortunately a 70s era re-issue with a different cover, but looks and sounds like new, really good album.

So we stopped into HMV today. As per usual they didnt have a new release that came out last Tuesday and had to have them bring us a copy in. Anyways im in there, perusing the vinyl, and as I'm going through what seems to be an endless Beatles section, I thought to myself, who actually buys these anymore. So I hit my usual spots in the store...metal section, music DVD's and books. As we check out, some dood comes up with all the Beatles albums. Spent over 300 on them. All I could think was "what the hell". I often wondered why they keep stocking these Beatles LP's, but its pretty clear now.

I did pick up some used records at one of my favourite haunts I haven't been to for some time - Audiopile (http://audiopile.com/) I was looking for a particular album for my youngest son's birthday: Talking Heads' "Stop Making Sense." I couldn't find that one but I did find a few others.

I have a knowing smile on my face Ben.

I visited the new London flagship store of HMV last week for the first time (having resisted the urge for a while now). It is significantly smaller than their previous premises that were located a little to the east - anyway - I walked in and I walked out after around four minutes...

In their heyday, I would have frequented HMV on a regular basis but today there is such a poor selection of music titles on offer, it literally is a waste of time walking through the entrance.

Well this one was pretty nice price wise too. I had also noticed some Raven in the store, but didnt realize they were on the label until i got home and perused the list again. Checked quickly on my phone while in the store to see if this was one you had already or not.

Im hoping my Ace Frehley Space Invader comes in soon, when im there to pick it up, ill check on the Ravens.

I really need to not log onto Ernie B's Reggae if I want to keep any money in my pocket. You can sign up for a wholesale password and the prices are pretty great. I think you may have to place an order of a hundred bucks or so to first get the wholesale password, but can't remember for sure. Once you have it, you can get anything at those prices. Best reggae selection I've seen around, old and new stuff. Also stocks a lot of other vinyl as well. Specializes in reggae but carries a ton of other stuff as well. I just ordered this stack of stuff:

Heptones: Party Time
Heptones: Ting A Ling
Joe Gibbs: Dub Serial
Jackie Mittoo: In Cold Blood
Lone Ranger: Hi Yo Silver Away
Pale Rider: Post Dub
John Coltrane: Love Supreme (Had to finally break down and get a clean copy to replaces the scratchy old copy I've got. Listen to this too much to deal with a bunch of scratches, pops and surface noise.)

You heard Redeemer yet Ron? I f'n love it. So heavy, and Rob's screams on it are great. I hope to see the vinyl make its way around these parts at some point. The CD sounds good too though.

Still waiting for my Ace Frehley - Space Invader to come in. There must be some sort of delay with it somewhere. Tim's supplier is still showing no stock online for it. This is also a great album, if anyone hasnt heard it yet.
