Thanks Ron . I think were doin a good job.

1250 as pre vrs 3600

the 3600 is more detailed but bright as hell and don't get my speaks to hit low.
and it seems that the louder I get the more it jumbles up.
the 1250 as a pre will make you wince. Seems to not let all the detail through but let's my low end hit hard and it don't lose anything the louder I go. At this point I have to say that the 1250 as a pre sounds better. Like I said I lose a bit of detail but gain a lot of ass. At low volumes the 3600 is better but any gas AT ALL and pio wins..

This phono on the 1250 is pretty damn sweet also. I'm using my cheap uturn tt and a ortofon mm cart. Very smooth sound and full of life.

can I hook a mc cart to this phono? And Nando is there anyway to hook up a powered sub to this amp? Where could I get a manual for this other than off epay?

Unfortunately, I don't believe the SX-1250 is compatible with a low output MC cartridge. You would have to use a step-up transformer to use a low output MC cart with the SX-1250. If it's a high output moving coil cartridge with 2.5 mV you would be OK.

Probably a no go for hooking up a powered sub woofer to your SX-1250.

Nando.

Thanks nando!! The mc cart is a high output denon dl-110. And honestly I don't need the sub using this as a pre.. It flat out rocks with Jessica ....

Man this 1250 runs hot just idling. Left it on all night and damn it's hot. Jessica is cool as a cucumber.. I guess I'm gonna have to shut the 1250 off at night...

It shouldn't run hotter than that 700.

Im using as pre. And just siting there on it's pretty hot. I can touch it but still hot. Jessica don't even get warm till I start running juice through it. That pio will cost a bunch to leave run. Don't heat equal electric use.??

Yes sir. Those receivers are not supposed to run hot. Especially not loaded up. Makes me wonder about the bias setting

Sucks because I really don't trust dudes work lol. He had so many excuse and took him 19 months . Scares me that he rushed it out just to get me off his back...

Yep. Email him bout the heat issue. See what he says. I'm real curious.. The Specs are the same design and I've never needed a fan on.mine...have you checked the heat when using the amp section.?

Super hot. Couldn't put my hand on it when I was driving it ..right and left sides get hot as shit to touch top of receiver.
