Wood cases

It is reconditioned. I haven't had a problem with any of the things I have bought that was Ryobi. I found them at CPO.

cool site Larry...got me thinking about making the case for the 700..out of oak or even red oak...
Does anyone know how the 700 was mounted in the case? Seems to me the screws that hold the handles on also go through a piece of angled steel and the handle to hold in. gonna need a longggg screwdriver for that one....

I owned a 400 and a 4000 preamp back in my college days that I bought new. I don't remember anything holding the amp or preamp in the case. As I remember they just slid in the case from the rear, and the front of the case was like a picture frame, and you couldn't push the amp any further toward the front than that trim.....kinda like a Fisher tube receiver case..I don't remember screws from the bottome holding the Phase though..

Sutton is correct, the stock PL cases were just slid onto the amp chassis.

That's right, jeez, you'd think I would remember that one of these days.

I guess the power transformer was so heavy there is no f@#%in way its movin outta the case..LOL!

Here is my B&D 6 1/2 inch 24 volt saw. Just put a 90 tooth on it. I have some cherry plywood to cut up. Also got a trim router awhile back and biscuit cutter.

Hi Larry, did you just get the biscuit cutter? Thats a nice small one, hows it work?
I also see you are using the PL glue thats a great glue...works really well if you wet the wood alittle. I usually get a spray bottle and mist the joint before using the glue makes a excellent bond when using polyurethane glue. If you can find Tightbond makes a better urethane glue just really hard to find locally..might have to order off the internet..
I tested its bonding ability and ripped the wood before the glue joint..clamped all the glue joints...check out the trains I make for the kids, no nails all tightbond and clamped..Trains 001.jpg[/attachment:3u8xqs9v]Trains 002.jpg[/attachment:3u8xqs9v]

Very nice trains. I got the cutter about 3 weeks ago. It works very well. The glue I was using gorilla glue. It took to long to dry for me. This glue is very good. I got the cutter from the place I gave you. CPO.
