Wood cases

I love working in walnut and butternut Larry. Both machine very nicely.

I'm just scared to cut it. It isn't cheap. LOL I am though. Found out there is a difference between a 90 degree clamp and a corner clamp. LOL Only money right. I haven't forgotten you.

Looking at vacuum bags to do veneer. I have a pump. Wish I still worked on aircraft. Would get bags free. We used them on composite work.

Trying some new lacquer. Don't like it. It isn't self leveling. It does not flow very good. Will go back to my old.

Bought some Cherry 3/4 inch plywood. It was on sale so I bought it. Getting my 10 inch miter saw today. After waiting 2 months. Fedex lost the 1st one. LOL Yea right. Will be playing today.

Larry, they have a additve called Petrol you can add to the lacquer and it will be easy to apply and self leveling...you can get at home shithole (Depot)! Works very well, did my speakers in black and looks like a piano finish works well with poly's too., you should seal the wood so you don't have to apply many coats for the shine.

I use sanding sealer. I'm not shooting with a gun. Haven't gotten to that step yet. Will go with a gun later. I get most of my stuff from Rockler. Pretty good products. Will have fun with the saw today though. Need to get a finish blade for it.

Yes I just hate gloves. Picked up a 10 inch 120 TPI Craftsman Kromedge blade. It only cost me 9.00 so I have to see what it can do. Hope it is good.

Got a HVLP gun for 2.99. Yes I know Chinese. Can't afford a Devilbiss. Nice guns. Have used them many times. I will probaby not be happy I know. Found some Purple heart on sale. Still hard for me to pull the trigger.

For really fine work, look into hollow ground planers for blades, but do buy a good one if you do, it makes a difference. No more sanding.

This 120 cuts as smooth as butter. Think I will draw up a rack and build it out of oak. Would sound very good on the deck. It would have to be water proof. I could do that.
