Yea. I don't push it hard enough to need a fan. Just have to practice with the router. Once I get it set up I'll be good to go. I got a nice finishing blade. I like the laser on the saw. I have shop vacs to suck in the dust.

Bought some pine to practice with. Bought a power hand planer. May glue some boards today, Got some counter sinks and jigs for dowels. Have to find my shop vac in all this mess. It takes me time to do any thing. I get in no hurry. LOL

I have never used a router. I got some cheap pine to work with. The same size. I'm pretty sure that the dremel will not like the walnut.

I have worked just about every form of wood making. Done rough cut sawmill. Finishing mill. You never wear gloves. Yes you get splinters for awhile. I ran 5 foot planers. Three saw for width. Your running 3 boards all different width. You can't guess you have to know what board goes where when you are stacking. You stack with one hand. You pop the board on the end and just flip it to the stack. You do this for 10 hrs a day. Doesn't take long to get good at it. You take a brake when new cuts are ordered. Have to set up the saw. Your also grading what is good. You are culling the bad ones out.

Then I worked in an unfinished furniture store.

Wow a bunch of toys came. Will take some blurry pics. It is nice here. In the 60s sun shining.

Looks like Christmas in March...... New toys are always a good thing! :)

A router is one of the mosts used tools in the shop. Once you start using one you will find a million things to do with it. I think there are 5 currently in the shop not counting dremel type tools of which there are 4-5 more. Yes, a tool hound, Arf!!!

Yes can do formica in the kitchen. You are right I am looking for a good but reasonable router table. That I can use on my bench. Do you have a suggestion. Been looking at Skills. Made my 1st miter cut. Fence is off. Like the laser though.

Hi Larry,

I built my router table.... It's similar to those smaller ones sold by BenchDog. The bottom is enclosed which really helps keeping the dust contained. I do use dust collection but everything helps when dust is involved. For routers I have all Bosch except one Porter Cable. Hitiachi looks to have some nice routers as well, but have never scene a trim router from them.

Bosch builds good shit. Love their die grinders and 7" grinders. Their 9" you can sit on and iy will still turn, they won't however stand a 75,000 lb truck falling on them from 3 feet up.

As much as I will probably do I went cheap. Couldn't beat the Ryobi price. If and when I start using things more I can upgrade.

My loft above the garage door is full. At some point I need to cut my table down. Back to breaking down boxes again. To make room.
