Wood cases

AQlso, only buy CARBIDE bits for the router...The are carbide tipped ones, and other non-carbide bits, but this is one place to NOT skimp. A great bit wames all the difference in the world..Also haveing the correct one...the EXACT one for what you are doing is mandatory.

Plus wood is NOT very forgiving...One slip of the router, and you can have a lot of work going down the drain...I made a pair of speakers once, and I'll put a picture showing the result...A slip of the router.....and the enclosure was almost completed. I couldn't see starting over so I attempted a patch job...It turned out OK, but I should have pitched it and started over...but I have the veneer matched speaker to speaker and everything.. Man I was mad at myself...look under the top driver on the left .....

Well yeah, but I put grilles on mine so I don't blitzkrieg something. You can probably fix it again.

So this is one of those things where ya rout all the places you have to, then assemble and finish eh??

Well I got the finish I want. Took a week of working on it. Waiting on a router table. I think it went with Lee's package. Will have more pics before this is all over.

Maybe I haven't gotten mine yet. Just emailed the dealer. Maybe he sent it to you. LOL If he did I'll get my Fedex number and you can send it to me.

My Fed-Ex account is back up to snuff. It was down for awhile because I changed my card number and screwed em all up.

All my passwords and every thing are on my other computer. No printer out here any way. When it is like this I like doing my thing outside. Looks like snow out my back deck with all the blooms or should I say blossoms. My tulips are opening up. Pear trees blooming. All the roses planted.

Larry

Shit, just got the snow gone. On the plains anyway, still a lot on the mountains.

Just finished 36 holes of golf. We broke 4 record high temps in the Chicago area the last week. They say its the Gillian-Darwin Effect, whatever the F^%$^%& that is. Maybe Al Gore has the answer.

Larry, We did not have 1 day below zero this winter. That also is a record. We are 60 miles northwest of Chicago in a small farming area and the old timers say that we are in for a nasty spring because of the early heat. Old Norm who was born and raised here has never been wrong in his 92 years.

Joe, 2nd time out, played last Wednesday. Shot 92 the first 18 but shot 112 the second 18. Probably due to dehydration that I had to replenish.

We had a few freezes. I was taught we need about 6 inch ground freeze to kill all the germs and bugs in the ground. My yard is full of wild onions and I had sod put down 2 years ago. We have a saying about March. In like a lamb out like a lion. I just hope no freezes or all the apples and other fruit will be none this year.

We set either 3 or 4 record highs last week, I am about 200 miles south of Chi town. We never saw zero either, and had very little snow. Very strange weather so far. Should be interesting what we get for the rest of the year.

I need to mow, I should have yesterday but will today, give me something to do and keep out of trouble.

Have to make some wood pieces to set my speakers on. I have a thin piece of walnut. I just put sealer on it. Will put 2nd coat on in a few minutes and then sand.

Larry

Wow this Walnut looks nice. 2 coats of lacquer. Will shoot a third then start sanding between coats. Here is a pic. Will cut 2 inch square pieces. Hope my saw gets here.
