I put the Model One through it’s paces with these two gems. Wow !!!
I bought both LP’s when I was in college, early 70’s.
They are both favorites in the collection. The Miles Davis LP is a classic
that features many great musicians and is just a pleasure to listen to. It is a great
album to introduce someone to “Cool Jazz”. The Sonny Rollins LP
is an amazing LP, booming bass, and a soundstage that is as good as it gets.
This is a Rudy van Gelder recording and is one of his best.

Looks like a double lp Toscannini Greatest Hits package from who knows when. First real RCA shaded dogs I've acquired - I can hear what the fuss is about, in spite of ticks and pops. Note the price in the upper left corner. Thrift store find in Edmonton. There were maybe 15 classical albums among a ton of Mantovani and Tennessee Ernie Ford.

Nothing ventured, noting gained. Must start searching for better examples of the breed.

Snagged a copy of Spirit's Twelve Dreams of Dr. Sardonicus at another thrift along the way. First copy I've seen in years. Tried a couple of needle drops on it - the vinyl is in much better shape than the cover, for once. Need to listen through the entire album later to see what kind of shape it's in.
