Geri and I started watching this series. The series is supposedly meant to portray Daisy Jones & the 6 as that famous group... Fleetwood Mac.

A few of Patti Smith's songs have made it to my mix tape projects.

I applaud the work that Costa Rica has done to have one of the lowest carbon emissions in the world for production of electricity in their grid. Being the sustainability guy that I am at work, I deal with the emission factors of every country in the world and CR is a stand out.

So Gene, you can blast away in the comfort of knowing you are not endangering the planet. :-)

geothermal...
wind...
solar...
conservation...
they do try to protect the natural environment...it is illegal to cut most types of trees more than 6" diameter...for example...
it is a nice place to retire...nice place to live..
though not perfect...as that really does not exist!!!

Guessing that the downside is that if you have to purchase energy from the grid, the KWhr rate is high. They usually go hand in hand, low emissions = high KWhr rate.

you guessed correctly...in louisiana current rates at .05 in winter.... and .10 in demand months ie summer...
here is about .25 last time i calculated...
the equivelant of public service agency goes over books every quarter...and elevates or lowers price ...depending on need of ice to maintain power...at that point in time...
fascinating...

Fun fact. Daisy is played by one of Elvis's grandkids.

 
@FredR: I didn't know that fact. This has been an entertaining series to watch - especially, since our teenage and young adult years were during the show's time period.

I recommend this series for others to watch.
