what are you listening to?

Garage sale season, picked through a pile of 10cent records, (most pretty rough) some to past it to salvage some I am going to try the old wood glue treatment on and hope for the best. But, for now I get to spin the good ones.

:glasses7: Looking forward to hitting some sales in my area this year. I know that there are a lot of interesting record collections out there long forgotten by aging baby boomers and sitting in basements and garages.

Bob Dylan - Bob Dylan's Greatest Hits

One of the best album covers ever. The picture is priceless and layout perfect. Some people think having song titles and such all over the photograph is old school and tacky but I know it's grand art and composition that compliments itself in completeness. It expresses the enigma of Bob Dylan and brings him to Earth as he wishes by grounding the art as a commercial product and not a statement of any demigoguery.

Hey Paul! Actually Jason is the one behind this, I should have guessed as I had mentioned I wanted a copy and this came today. Thanks Jason, you da MAN!!! Kevin was supposed to save a copy and I thought he had just sent it along. They have another album coming out soon according to Kevin when I talked with him earlier

You got one also, eh....I been thinking about getting another so I can open and listen to the vinyl. In fact I think it's time to contact Kevin and get that ball rollin'

I haven't given that one a spin, yet Ron....but evidently it's worth checkin out,eh? I thought it was pretty cool, too, that it came with the comic and whatnot.

I'm listening to David Allan Coe-Rides Again now,and I feel like goin and diggin through sone albums just to see what I find, but Jason's been sick this last week r so,and all of the albums I had bought always ended up at his house for posterity. For the last 10-15 yrs,I really hadn't had a stable home(just kinda stayed wherever the hell i could)....So I took all of my acquisitions to the collective at his house. Hopefully he's startin to feel better so I can go and listen to his system lol

Cool, I just spoke with Kevin this morning about getting a second copy so I can open one. Sounds like we missed out on the cool colored copies. Yeah, the new album will be out soon but last I heard they were not planning on going the vinyl route unless they can get some cash backing.....

Wooden Shjips~ West

My buddy Kevin just sent me his band Traitors Return to Earth album called Betting On A Full Collapse. Pretty cool, it comes with a special comic book too! He also sent an extra cover autographed to boot! Great stuff if you like heavy brutal Stoner stuff like Mastodon and The Sword. His singer used to be in Tank Destroyer

I have been listening to it online since I flat out refuse to open the copy he sent me LOL, only a couple hundred were made

I love that they are offering it on open reel. I a huge comic book fan and dig The Sword so I may have to pick this up on vinyl myself. This could be my RSD 2014 purchase.

Are you just listening to a few seconds of a song on each of those albums? You are posting about every minute or so. ;)

Traitors Return To Earth is different from the Sword. Much more Doom like. Tones and vocals are different....
