British progressive rock, founding members were from the Yardbirds. they added Annie Haslam in the 70s...from Wikipedia:

In January 1969, former Yardbirds members Keith Relf and Jim McCarty organised a new group devoted to experimentation between rock, folk, and classical forms. This quintet—Relf on guitar and vocals, McCarty on drums, plus bassist Cennamo, pianist Hawken, and Relf's sister Jane as an additional vocalist—released a pair of albums on Elektra (US) and Island (UK-ILPS 9112), the first one, titled simply Renaissance, being produced by fellow ex-Yardbird Paul Samwell-Smith.

I love Renaissance, especially Live at Carnagie Hall. Annie Haslam has an amazing voice. I consider them more Art Rock then progressive with Annie. She has a great solo album called Annie in Wonderland that has a place in everyones collection

Creation Rebel: Psychotic Jonkanoo

Really good early 80s dub. Interesting guest appearance on backing vocals from someone listed simply as Lyddon, otherwise known as Johnny Rotten, for one track.

Checking out the first record of the Led Zeppelin - Celebration Day huge lp boxset. Very nice package and sound! I was just watching the concert on Axis a few days ago with Debbie and got this in the mail as part of a trade just yesterday. This boxset is definitely worth the cost. I might pick up a sealed one when I can afford it to put away!

Listening to Van Halen I on cd with the 700B, man I love old Van Halen, transports me right back to the late 70s when I was a teen with the whole World waiting in front of me and the pretty girl across the street was my frisbee partner. I think I still love that girl to this day but never told her how I felt
