Notable songs are:
'Cut to the Chase'
'Alien Shores'
'Between Sun and Moon'
'Animate'
As far as album favorites go:
'Permanent Waves'
'Moving Pictures'
'Signals'
'Vapor Trails'
As a side note, you can make a pretty decent 90 minute mix tape grabbing songs off of 'Presto', 'Roll the Bones', 'Counterparts' and 'Test for Echo'.
The engineering matches pretty well across all four discs and the period style of the compositions also show no strong delineations in my mind.
'Test for Echo' was pretty lame and I'd give it a D+; the remaining three are in the "B's" overall.
Moving Pictures and Signals are my favorites so far. I'll have to check out those other two. I may have listened to them before but don't know them back to front yet. Great band

'Grace is good. I like it a lot. So much so we saw them three times during that tour. 'Between the Wheels' still kicks my ass!
I suppose it was the MTV thing that tainted my 'Grace Under Pressure' experience. MTV and their more new wave get-ups.
I am more of a fan on Rush from their s/t debut through 2112 myself. Permanent Waves was like a WTF moment for me but I learned to appreciate it. After Moving Pictures, I pretty much closed the door on their later stuff. Too far a departure from the original sound I grew up with
Give me In the End, In the Mood, Here Again, Cygnus X-1, Working Man, Bytor and the Snowdog, What Your Doing, The Necromancer and other early songs and I am quite content in my Rushness

Right on.......I wish they'd play "AfterImage" It may be my favorite Rush tune but as far as I can find they played it maybe twice live and that was it. Just to close to their hearts I suppose.
