[quote="Rex Everything":pl696l8k]Gary Numan ~ The Pleasure Principle
My youngest son, Christoper, has been starting to collect used vinyl. He likes Gary Numan and I'd like to get him one of Numan's best LPs. Would the "Pleasure Principle" be it? I have a copy.

Coolness, have the little bugger look for Replicas, Telekon, Dance, I, Assassin too.

To start Pleasure Principle and Dance would be a great start, 'Dance' has Roger Taylor from Queen on the drums :thumbup: :thumbup: , then the other early ones, sorry I didn't follow him much after those. He should like The Human League, Adam Ant, Howard Jones and New Order as well. Ihave many of those Lps and could make him a tape to see where he wants to go from there, great to have a young'n searching out vinyl :D[/quote:pl696l8k]
Thanks for the suggestions, stuwee! Christopher is a Beatles fan and likes all the classic rock bands, especially, CSN&Y. I am sorting through my albums to see what he would like. If I can have him select a few titles of that genre of music, I may take you up on your great offer. He is also a big Graham Nash fan. I have a few Steven Stills solo LPs, but no Nash solos.

Well, we all started somewhere, that's why we have the great memories we have about music, it's always better to let them explore on their own, remember the first time you heard xxxxx? And the smell you had around you, the car you heard it in? Things like that last a lifetime, and make us who we are, put smiles on our faces when we're old.

On the same token, I remember my Dad bringing home 'Dreamboat Annie I was in hog heaven, that voice, those drums......that sound on our crappy little SX-something (35watter from the mid 70's). So get him some stuff, then let him find what he wants......

Anytime Stu!

Brant was the original Drummer for KYUSS and PLayed in Fu Manchu for a spell also. He has a bunch or solo stuff (sometimes w/ the Bros, some times w/ "The Operators" and some time under his own name with out the bands name behind it). He's not to far from either of us. Just out in the high desert of SoCal.
Interesting, it was the drummer that drew me into the jam, I'll search some more stuff out of his, Jerry would like them too :thumbup: :thumbup:

Rex, mines not very popular, I like it so F'm :thebirdman: :thebirdman: , it suits me and that's what an avvie is for. the size restictions are a bit agressive, I'm not good at sizing things smaller, I can make them bigger, just like that, *snap* :toothy10: :smilebox: :toothy10:

I picked up the newest Cars CD tiled "Move Like This." Not bad, at all. Some of the same vibes as their early stuff.

Hi Lee,

Yes, it's been 14 years since their last one "Door To Door" came out. The band is currently on tour in North America.

Yep, that rack needs an RG-9.
I would gladly reconfigure the rack to accommodate the RG-9. The champagne coloured faceplate of the RG-9 is a match for my Esoteric V-9000 cassette deck. I told stuwee I would snap a few pictures of my deck and I haven't as of yet. I don't want to use the same pictures I used on another forum.
