I'm listening to my Dragon play Miracle Miles' recent Yello compilation mix on a '85-ish TDK AD C-90! This recording is vibrant and alive!!! AWESOME bass, surprisingly low hiss for a type I!

Beautiful SME tone arm on that Thorens. Great engineering meticulously executed. Gotta love that.
Thank you sir. I didn't know what I was buying when it was obtained. All I knew is it was similar to what my Audio Mentor had, the guy who started all this when he showed me his Hi-Fi setup, I was 9 years old. Anyways I got it for $250 in 2003 (age 24) including the arm and auto-lifter, it also had a $450 Garrott P-77 cartridge installed. When the stylus wore out on it, I had it sitting in a padded box for cartridges, my ex stole it when we split. Micro tracer stylus re-tipping would have cost as much as the cartridge so I moved onto cheaper options. Absolutely love that table and arm, superior tracking and stability. SME 3009 Series 2 Improved.
