Broken beyond repair but highly affable
At the moment I'm listening to another thunderstorm trying to get a clue and the one Friday was not cute. I'm going to listen to a classic XLII C-90 Epitaxial gold label I now own (used) for $2. It sounded good on his Delco on the way home and he was going to give it to me saying something was wrong and after listening I concluded the recordist did not do as well as they could have and that the pad was okay. He accepted my offer and if I have to dig into my cash at the auction to help him I told him it was then payoff in the bargain. He said okay.

Broken Wings-Mr. Mister into some new song I don't know yet on 96.1 BOB-FM. I think it's Jason Mraz. I'm listening on my Radio Shack Cat. No. 12-795 with AM, FM, SW1-2 (4-16 MHz), AIR, TV sound 1-2 (NTSC), VHF, AIR, WEATHER.

Bob plays everything so Bad Girls is on right now.

I use to have a bunch of those gold Maxell's. But, they went with my whole college trunk when it was stolen many moons ago.

I seem to be stuck on old Ronnie and Rod (Faces) at the moment. I did buy my wife Sade's new one, "Soldier of Love". I have been listening to that here and there. But, it's mostly the Faces and the Jeff Beck Group as of late.

This Sade album is on the melancholy, dark side; not evil... more so, "not happy". I hope her next album returns to a more upbeat thing. But, you know, the world's been kind of gloomy for a few years now.

I've been setting up the Philips GA 202 table in the bedroom with George Benson's "Breezin'" I bought Tuesday.

I must either be lucky or deaf. What pumping?

I really don't hear it. Interesting enough - seems that the outboard dbx units handle it better, to my ears. I may have heard it on a few decks in the past with dbx built in, but definitely not with the 224X-DS I have. Might help too that I replaced all the daggone switches on it after getting it back from VintageSteve (they really were on their last legs, deoxit or not... ).

No, I was just kidding and pulling one on the purists in the thread over at TH.

I have several decks with DBX and I like it, except since I like to play my tapes on lots of different machines I record without it or any NR for that matter.

It only 'pumps' if you are a doofus and hit Dolby B to play it...

If I hit you to play you would also sound a bit 'OFF', wouldn't you?

Ah, my mind just found that little cartoon guy again from the OLD DAZE. You know

"There are seven kinds of fruit in Hawaiian Punch!"

No, I'm not Googling.

Ok, so if you're "not Googling" as you stated, then what I would like to know is "what ARE you smoking?" followed by "Can I have some?" :alien:

I got the message (transmission received) but only as far as the 1st sentence. The rest?? Well.. maybe I need some help here ("So, can I have some???")

Help a fellow out here.... (hands mike over to ya...)

apple, apricot, guava, orange, papaya, passion fruit, and pineapple.

The other answer is I only understand one out of every 7 sentences you post. :cyclops:

READ OVER...then think hard. I should'nt have to add images from a search engine all the time and there were two guys, short and tall in tha cartoons of the Hawaiian Punch ads, One always asked the other if he wanted a Hawaiian Punch--CERTAINLY! BAM! and that was the first line of the jingle.

Don't tell me that in so many decades' time all that popular culture got lost on you?

I'm not smoking anything, never have, dad is done with the second stage of lung cancer treatment and awaiting the results.

AHA! I go through that once in a while and eventually it's all figured out and honestly, this isn't a blog at least so it's more fun.

You already know me anyway. I didn't mutate from there.
