Jer you sick puppy! I love Foreigner's first Lp, still have mine, a few pops and ticks but, what a ride....... , speaking of which, you can't go wrong with Pat!!

if ya really wanna give the 'ol speaks and amp a good working over to Santana, give Patricia Barber's cover of 'Black Magic Woman' a spin, recorded live in Chi-Town, Graham knows, wicked percussion......when I first bought my baby AR-4x's I pumped about 120+ with my SAE amp into them in my huge LR, man did they just dig in.....yeah the Logans sounded great too, those little Roy Allison shoeboxes just rock with the right material

Myself, at the moment.

I'm too old for American Idol though.

(Okay, maybe talking to myself) :kermit:

It's the most common version on You Tube (the Airplane).

I think the Shondells tune was Crimson and Clover and it topped the chart within the week the clip was aired. It's full of mirrored shots and superimposition so that the band members and Tommy sing to each other and in multiple angles and positions in the picture.

PS Beat Club could do some neat stuff but this was mighty good analog mixing. The other NTSC clip I really love is the Brazil '66 Ya Me Le? (I listen, can't always spell) clip with the mirrored rotating colored spiral device. The color, composition, shot sequencing and Janice and Lani's placement vs. the band is PRICELESS. The program that gave us the clip died quickly but the production was a Mona Lisa of television.

The sixties is about as good secondhand and I was too young to see it really, being born in 1966. An unbelievably awesome decade!

PPS If you want to find some of these gems, go find my YT account (steadfastcoward) and elconquistadortoo (Roger is the tops!) and then follow the trails of related clips.
