If you have access to a tester and a pile of tubes, sure by all means match them, but if your buying online it's pricier thats all.

Why not listen to the tubes that come with it for awhile then decide if you want to pony up for different tubes?

Well when Larry shipped my tube amp, he just tossed all the tubes into an old potato sack and shipped them to me. They arrived just fine and didn't sound the least bit all shook up.
