Hello there,

I come back after a few months in a professional trip, I had a an of extra questions for you guys :

I just got some snubber caps from mouser and, while I was opening the amp to solder them I just realised something that seems very strange to me : I think the earth wire form the cord (wich is cut at the other side as my plug is two-pronged) is connected to what I guess is the thermal cutout of the transfomer ...
Can you give me you POV on this ???

Thanking you a lot in advance,

Need some pics. And what is" cut on the other side"?

I see your pic now. Have to wait till I get home and see it on the big computer..

That's a good thing with the PL. You don't want earth ground.

We need a couple of good photos of the right side of your chassis wiring as well.

There's only 2 wires coming into the amp from the power cord correct?

Nope,
This is precisely my point :

There are actually 3 wires :

One (the black one on the pic), comming frome one pronge, is connected to the left upper fuse
The other (green on the pic), comming from the second pronge is connected : see red circle behind
The last one (white in a brown sleeve) wich pronge is cut is connected to the transformer through what I think is the thermal protection see first pic below
