Gotta be on the second date by now...
You know that if you score a second date right quick, that things are good.

Here's a picture of the WOPL Beast! in the stack.
The gain with my B&W's is unquestionably righteous!
Channels are balanced and the noise floor is no different compared
to the N55ES blocks when set to WO throttle (max gain) on my processor with zero source input signal.
No transient spikey noise or crackling like one might expect with a
vintage power source. Pretty damn impressive.

One word and only one word comes to mind,

Beast!

A keeper she is!
(neighbors are going to be pissed this summer and I have no doubt the cops will be paying a visit like before...)

Hey, btw, do you want me to slap the return label on the cabbage and send that case home?

Finally got to push it?
Yes sir!

Dabbled in some early morning Devin Townsend yesterday. He mixes heavy metal with melody and trickery. Think the love-child of Steve Vai who meets Metallica and has an affair with Rush on the side. Huge recordings with lots of dynamic shifts. Now granted it was morning so my ears probably needed more time to wake up but when my son & I started ripping through some of Dev's tracks, I couldn't even get to 11 o'clock on the dial before I nearly messed my pants. This revised Beast screams to be driven to louder and louder volume levels. Yesterday night I played some more and found when I hit about 1 o'clock on the (preamp) dial that the WOPL meters averaged at 60 watts. So in other words, there's lots left!

I thinks me needs some bigger speakers and a larger sound den... :rabbit:

Like I mentioned already, when we do summertime fire pit get-togethers where I have the windows open to feed the tunes to the party,
the neighbors not attending but living within a 1000 yard radius are gonna get mighty pissed!

Fondler errrr... fan of all Nav's avatars
What kind of prea,p are you using? 1 o'clock on my Carver preamp means cracked floor joists and the meters flat to the right LOL

To get around that take requests of their favorite music, works for me. Tony I'll be e-mailing a shipping label later tonight. It's going to Doug in Washington.

Have you listened enough to discern the difference between those Sony's and the WOPL? I've researched those Sony's a bit. Highly regarded and under the radar..
