And that my friend also adds strength. Good joints are strong joints, and these are gonna need em.

Finished assembling them. Got to fill the screw holes and sand and paint. Going to hook them up to a 400 and sweep them to find out the sensitivity and frequency range. Will post pictures tomorrow

Mark,

Sorry to hear about your sciatic acting up. My wife had problems with this and it kept her out of work for almost a year.

I just googled the EVX-155 - and Lee is right! What a monster. It just looked smaller in the enclosure - guess I should have paid more attention to the beginning of this thread with your grandaughter standing using it as a playhouse.

Anyways - hope the pain subsides and can't wait to see the next installment of this build.

So what are you going to do with that extra 3/4 of an inch?

Beautiful wood work Mark. That would be really difficult to pull off without access to the laser. Especially that perfectly fitting, odd shaped hatch that I see in the top of each enclosure.

Mark.....

Fire them up. The suspense is killing a few of us. We can't take it any longer...The dirvers will have to break in, so likely there can't be an accurate review for a few days or weeks, but we gotta know what your initial impressions are. Come on...that silicone is dry...It just feels a little wet. It will cure better if vibrated. Yeah, that's it....it cures better with vibration.....so you have to turn them up really loud to get the best seal..

Give us an initial review prior to 12:00 midnight EST....PLEASE...............PRETTY PLEASE.....

Fired them up tonight, Extremely high output with a lot of booming between 130 HZ and 200 HZ need to add a lot of damping inside the trapezoid . Response is 25 to 1000 HZ with 110db @ 1 meter @ 100 Hz. As of right now the Altec VOTT sound better
