Restraint is for sissy's.....
lmao. Atleast my speaker guy can rebuild it for a 100$.. But it's gonna be 2 weeks to a month for him to get to it . I have to drive or mail it to Chicago . Hopefully I can do that on Monday .
 
image.jpg Here's where I'm reduced to for the moment lmfao.. 512wpc into some mini monitors lol. But honestly these kirksaeter sl60's sound amazing and with the carver sub it really fills this room. It sounds so good like this. I really can't belive it. These little things match awesome with this amp plus I got about 450wpc of headroom lmfao....
 
Its probably all that extra headroom making everything sound good.

Thats a sweet bucket though. How would you rate its acoustic resonance, and overall sonics? Is placement as crucial as one would think? How bout overall volume? does that factor in, in any way? :mrgreen:

its funny as ive still not heard mastadon lol. and yes the bucket is holding down the sub and yes it tightens it up alot lol but true.... i can get loud kinda still but no shpongle lol. DMT is what got my coil lol:laughing1::evil4:
 
I dont really get down with the Sphongle, but is this the million dollar speakers were talking about? Whats DMT?

That's tough man, I'd loan ya some speakers if I lived closer. At least you know the limits of the cv's now.
 
Yep it was the million dollar speakers but talked to speaker dude and he can rebuild the woofer for me for 100$. When I had them upgraded I didn't know about WOPL's then or I would of had my at-15's upgraded instead.. One of these days maybe I'll have some of these k's I hear so much about. I literally just confiscated back my Polk monitor 5's from my buddy to see the diff between those and the kirksaeters in the pic. Now let's see what pair I fry waitin lmfao...

Lmfao to funny!!! Maybe I need to look into speaker repair myself because I got a feelin this will happen quite often.

generally with an amp with sooooooo much headroom, you'll never hear the damage being done 'till AFTER it's done.
at least with an under-powered amp, you'll hear some sort of distortion first, which can at least warn you of impending disaster.
compare it to having you head 'Ground' off instead of cleanly chopped with a Guillotine. (or however u spell it, i don't care.)
the point is, with a clean chop, you just don't know it's coming 'till after you're dead.
with these WOPL Arc Welders, YOU NEED Limiters, set at the threshold of wot your speaker can handle with a proportional amount added for the peaks so as not to squash anything until you're actually in trouble.
having a limiter on your system will not degrade it otherwise, and you wouldn't even know it's there, unless your in head chopping territory.
so there..... bring on more heads..... :evil4:
