Don't just DeOxit..... You need Fader Grease or D100. Otherwise you'll be doing it again soon. A properly Sprayed and LUBED pot will last a dozen years (then the lube drys out and makes the hard to turn)..
HUH??? I see I made an error for the team,,,,, I should have looked at my notes since the memory is toasty..... The correct number for the fader lube is F100L which is used after the D5/F5 spraying regimen. After the initial spraying with the D5/F5 , treat the pot with some fader grease since the sprays use the Flushing Action and you have just washed the grease away from the factory. So, use the D5 or F5:
1.) The D5 or F5 flushes all the skuzz away

2.) The DFG-213-1 grease replaces the factory goo

3.) Add a drop or two of the F100L to help keep the pot from feeling stiff

These are not cheap products but they work very well and in the long run, these save you time and money. I built Skipshot's beautiful pair of Clair Brothers 700 II amps in 2015 and he just started to have a noisy pot on one of them so the process lasts about 8 years. Some get much longer results. Use this process and ensure great results. We use this regimen when I worked in the trons shop in the Navy and it works.
