If you find that replacing the pots doesn't fix it, the issue is the front end transistors Q1-4.
Definitely power OFF.
Did you spray it well with Deoxit?
Let that work in and do it several times.
Sometimes you will have to pull the top cover, and really get to it, and catch the corrosion as it comes pouring out.
They can get really cruddy (technical term) and a good cleaning (hopefully without disassembly of the pot) will do the trick.

good to know...Don't just DeOxit..... You need Fader Grease or D100. Otherwise youll be doing it again soon. A properly Sprayed and LUBED pot will last a dozen years (then the lube drys out and makes the hard to turn)..

W the Pioneer and w tons of switches and Pots and using DeoxIT for the pots which only works for 6-monthes and could do damage to the Pots.
