that has a frequency range of 20Hz-20000kHz or whatever. It already has an astounding noise floor that will match a WOPL but missing that 'lil bit on the lowest end. What would have to be changed to get it down to 10Hz? Can any of said gurus make this happen? The patient will be a Perreaux SA-3 and could this be potentially a White Oak/Phoenix upgrade since it would be invented here? I have done a lot of surfing checking specs for a match made in heaven with a FC WOPL 400 and someday 700. The Perreaux kept coming back to me every time. I used one with the Amber 70s amps and it was just like a WOPL, it amazed me every time I turned it on with a soundstage that enveloped you in a comfy warm blanket with a detail and imagery that made you want to listen more. It made thopse Ambers shimmer. Sure I'd love a SPEC or a BillD modded Carver C1 but this preamp will more then fill the bill. I know the Amber 70s were beautiful sounding amps that liked to run HOT, had to keep a fan blowing on those babies. I used them as mono blocs
for the SM-120s talk about a brutal combo. I blew one up eventually, only took me about a month

If I could find another pair of Amber 70s, I would sell my ass to get them
