Russ' Phase Linear 700B Going Fully Comp!!!!!!!

My residual was 1.2mv and .980mv. You??

Without skins I am getting 750uV on left and 475uV on the right channel. Are yours left (1200uV) and right (980uV) so that we correlate that the left is slightly noisier than the right?

Correct Joe and that was with D9 out of the way on the left channel. I hope to be under 1mv on each side when I'm done. It doesn't sound that noisy.

If those figures hold though Joe, I'll be eating some humble pie!!

You know I am pretty damn good with wire routing for low noise Lee. I have to subsequently replace this crap shielded cable with some nice Teflon stuff that I have.

That is about 98dB on the worst channel at 400W out.

I'm listening about that level right now and it's AWESOME . Shit is flyin all over the mancave..

I'm not ready to concede just yet. I had some test equipment issues during my noise measure ments so there is still hope....

Really looking forward to seeing what the 700 will do when configured like a 400 for noise. IE no pots, short run from the inputs etc....

And yes you're good but I'm right in your rearview buddy...

Yeah that 3 feet of cable isn't doing much good. But on the flip side, I defy Lee to hear 750uV through the speakers.

It's loud here....but oh so clear...

Yep , I'm handicapped and still on your ass!!

Covers are on, ty-wraps in place. And then I noticed this text on the top cover that makes me wonder if I should have done what I did...

It says:

CAUTION - TO PREVENT ELECTRICAL
SHOCK DO NOT REMOVE COVER. NO
USER SERVICEABLE PARTS INSIDE.
REFER SERVICING TO QUALIFIED
SERVICE PERSONNEL.

With skins on it is slightly worse. 1000uV on the left channel and 750uV on the right with skins installed.
