Ripping, HD formatting and OS questions

BELKIN?

Well, whether is the Belkin or the fact you have SEVEN USB devices which are possibly pulling the current to low (it's not a ton) and you are probably dragging your LAPTOP, is it? down with the port.

If you are using a tower add a USB card to the probably 4-6 available up front and in back.

Remove most of those devices and see if it doesn't perk back up! Then don't use all of them at once, it's like using too many things on the phone line at once for an analogy.

Man, I just went through a desktop crash. Took a week to get it back running. Still having issues but only on Yahoo News... news story pages lock up before they load and on eBay, I can't hover over other pictures in an auction to get them to blow up for close views or change to a different picture. They won't even open when I right click to open link. Bugging the hell out of me but it must be some plugin or javascript issue. I have updated everything but there still is an error

If the blue screen of death persists Larry, you have a hardware issue. Blue screen of death is usually caused by, Vid card, ram, cpu, or mobo failing.

Yahoo is a general pain in the butt in the first place. What OS/browser are you using and have you tried resetting the browser settings and looking to see what your add-ons are *try disabling them some and either seek a better version or at least figure out what they do and if it's just crap...of course 4 million people will tell you any given thing is crap if they 'got a little something to fix that', so a grain of salt or good liquor is handy.

I did system shot on a 1 tb hd. I'm getting BOOTMGR. Is the drive toast. The blue screen comes from me messing around in the bios and stuff. I do push it at times though.

I thought Spotify was on mp3 level as far as sound (I don't use it"

Larry, Have you run Malwarebytes scan on your pc? Are you using AVG?

Yes it ran this morning. Yes AVG. I have other HDs. Just not as big. I can still use my old HD. I think I can run repair. Didn't think about that. See if that works.

How old is the system?
1 TB drives don't play nice on older systems..

Yes I have ran malware. 6 month old system. New MB everything. My old HD works. I can do everything. It is just telling my OS is bogus. Plus I would like a little bigger. Yes I have run a lot of them of every kind it isn't picking it up.

Have you tried using the windows disc to repair the OS, or are you beyond being able to load windows now? Switch your boot manager to load from your dvd drive(if using windows 7) and load the windows repair tool once youve hit any button to load the disc.

Is the op sys running on the TB drive?

What did image your working drive with?

Larry, are you trying to say that Windows is asking you to AUTHENTICATE the installation?

If so it will stop working in a short time until you take the key and do the Genuine Windows Authentication, either online or by calling Microsoft to do it.

Since you've mention this a few time over a couple months? Maybe that's not it so I'm not sure what you mean. Can you get a picture or screenshot of that?

There are ways around that....

I'm still stuck with XP, mind you.

Yes a bunch of times. It takes me to load drivers. Then I get no where. I have booted from everything. Will try another HD today maybe. LOL
