Recommend me some new Rock music...

It surely isn't me...

Or me.

With all this so called "vinyl revival" the prices should go down as demand goes up.

Perhaps the record companies have never heard of economies of scale.

Personally, I think the renewed interest in records has been overplayed (pun intended).

White Orange

Black Pussy

Vista Chino

......

I bought a Vista Chino CD yesterday. I like it and second the recommendation.

Here are a couple other suggestions:

Kinski - Cosy Moments

Anything by Stinking Lizaveta - sort of progish, postrockish, and metalish.

And, anything by Ozric Tentacles. It's not for everyone, so listen before buying.

If you haven't heard Lee and Co. crow about Black Country Communion, there is one.

I highly recommend Steve Costello from Canada, who you can find on You Tube and buy his music...he has guitar company endorsements too AND he's awesome. He helped a young lady with her entry for last year's Cover Me Canada, then 14 year old phenom Jaclyn Kenyon, covering Black Velvet by Alannah Myles. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C7d8Y_Up5t4

http://www.youtube.com/user/SteveAlCostello NOT to be confused with another user with a back pain treatment, an NBA player and a couple others...they don't play a Gibson worth a damn.

I have it on Vinyl. It's an excellent album. Some real gems.

White Orange and Black Pussy are excellent as well. They are from not far from you, Portland.

Hmmm...I think that proof of the UFO was established on records and tapes years ago...

If you don't mean new releases i just listened some great tunes on a mixtape from Pat i received lately, like this one for example:

Oh, Hell Yeah...and the legend has it that some of the madness of The KLF came from this band.

You GOTTA like that...

Maybe not new, but may be new to you-----The Zoo--"Shakin the Cage" Featured Mick Fleetwood on drums, Billy Thorpe on guitar and Bekka Bramlett on vocals. Just plain good rock.

I've seen Black Pussy live a couple times. Never heard of White Orange. I will check them out.

Red fang is another good Portland band.

The Devin Townsend Project

'Epicloud'

The deluxe version has a second disc that rivals the primary one.

Devin hails from B.C. Canada.

My friends band from Eugene has played with Black Pussy and Red Fang. They are called Red Cloud. I missed Black Pussy here a while back but will not miss them again.

White Orange is basically most of Black pussy doing a bit different stuff. Their new ep is excellent. It's called Onawa.

Go to their site and have a look around. Some other good bands there as well. It's Made In China Records

Big fan of moe. though they are certainly not a new band by any means. Tin Can and Car Tires, No Doy or any of the Warts and All live shows are excellent.

Tame Impala put out an album called Innerspeaker that I have been diggin' on as well. Just ordered their newest album a couple of days ago.

moe. is excellent. I saw the Tin Cans & Car Tires tour for sure back in '98 and a few after that. Al and I used to swap pedals and emails often back in the early 2000's. I remember seeing their bumper stickers all over the '97 Phish tour and when I got home I bought No Doy. Was blown away from the first note.
