Przem's Phase Linear 700 Series II White Oak Conversion

Doing better than the last few weeks, keeping busy. Can't complain I guess =).

Thats about all we can ask for lol. It's been a struggle here but I try not to let it get me down. I just need my speaks back so I can work Jessica a bit..

When trying to drill holes in chassis' I use a transfer punch to start. The layout is critical when using countersunk screws like those needed in this IEC plug. The transfer punch leaves a shallow depression, but not really enough to go hogwild with a hand drill. So, I start with a 1/16" bit in a pin vise and deepen the starter hole a bit more to lessen the "bit walkin" that would really screw up this nice chassis....

Thanks Joe....any ideas for a bulkhead connector that would fit the old AC in hole??

For the 120 fan voltage.....how about an RCA jack???

If you do, sooner or later you will plug a signal cable into it by mistake. I know I would... Use an automotive connector - they don't know [or care] if its 12 VDC or 120 VAC.

Lee you don't want to make a widow maker...

Wire in a 6" long wire pigtail with female 5-15R on the end of it to plug the original fan plug into. Use the original Heyco clamp to strain relieve the pigtail into the chassis hole.

Think safety here.

.Nor a bad idea Joe, BNC?? My original idea of an amphenol 3057 connector is too large....

Buy something like this, cut the unused end off it and use the 5-15R through the original Heyco strain relief. Neat and safe.
