Pics of your Favorite Cassette Tapes

I rarely go gaga over Type 1 cassettes, but the TDK AR-X is coveted. As a comparison, I have more TDK MA-XGs than I do AR-X cassettes.

Nando.

This was a tape Daren had sent me for our trade. My first AR-X. Never seen any of the MA/XG's you speak of Nando.

After next weekend I should be able to mail out what is owed to Daren in our trade. Im waiting to mail it off as there is a little extra something id like to throw in for him.

I received a TDK AR-X 60 from Daren, too. I might have two sealed AR-X cassettes, only. Perhaps, Daren could do the honours in providing a picture of the TDK MA-XG.

Here are the gift tapes and MDs I received from Daren some time ago:

The other way around for me Nando!

The AR-X can still be had for reasonable money but there is more demand for top metals. Sealed or used, those MA-XGs sell.

I'm all excited now Ben... :)

If only Nando; I wish I had a photo to share!

As you know, I have focused more on ferrics in recent years so my stash of type IV cassettes is small.

Hi Sep,

I haven't tried too many Raks tapes. If and when I get a deck, I'm going to look out for them.

Attractive cassettes IMO.

Hi Daren,

I tried all of them, really... They were my main tapes for making mixtapes for friends and my home was the recording studio in this regard :-P. I never had so much luck to keep one of my tapes as long my friends always grabbed them instantly, but it was so fun and i was always pleased to see them happy... So Raks, friends and nice music,,, Those were the days!
