Hi Gene,
Thanks for sharing the video. We do all of that work, so we can relax and enjoy our systems. Your family benefits every day, and a new generation shares your enthusiasm. You are very blessed. As we always say "It's all about the music", .........and sharing that with family and friends. Fantastic !

That always worked for my grands as well. My youngest grandson just said the other day, "I want my dad to get one of those things that you put the thing on and it goes around and you can hear music" A four year old's description of my turntable. :love7:

Is that “C” the weighting? “A” weighting is industry standard if that’s what that is.

Probably not much different and both are loud.
some studying i did manage..

The most common weighting that is used in noise measurement is A-Weighting. Like the human ear, this effectively cuts off the lower and higher frequencies that the average person cannot hear.
Although the A-Weighted response is used for most applications, C-Weighting is also available on many sound level meters. C Weighting is usually used for Peak measurements and also in some entertainment noise measurement, where the transmission of bass noise can be a problem.

since i was putting the pedal close to the metal.. i opted for c weighted...

still learning..

well...interesting week...
i am finishing up restoring 97 rav4...
returning from doc appt in liberia...50+km from home...alternator lite came on...was dark ..raining lightly...
25 km farther is bagaces where i leave the autopista and take road to guayabo...25 km left...
left on parking lights to keep it running...less than halfway i lost all lights...guy behind me understood and was riding the bumper so i could see...it was a light rain...no wipers...4km from home it quit...maria had contacted my mechanic...he headed my way with a battery ...the truck behind me recognized me and stopped too...in a blind curve flagging cars
with cell phones...lololol
mechanic showed up..swapped battery and tightened alternator cable...it was loose...and very hot...got home in 10 minutes sandwiched between the truck that helped and mechanic........put battery on charger ...next morning swapped it back in...i was having intermediate idling problem when engine warmed....this episode finished it off...injector
was breaking down...2 birds one stone...
people here are so considerate ...
another story for the grandkids...
