phase linear 400

coming from you...means a lot to me...
thank you

For you PL400 II (Non-WOPL) experts, a guy asked me what would cause the display on one channel to light up the first and third LED all the time? The middle LED module stays dark. I usually toss them so I've not had a need to troubleshoot one.

thank you sooo much!!!
yes sir, it sure was backwards....and i did touch up the solder joint i missed...
better???
i will comb over it again tomorrow before launch...

i met a man in younger years that raised turtles for meat...he had a shed/barn where he put a layer of hay...layer of turtles..layer of hay...layer if turtles stacked to the rafters...i asked how they ate ..he replied that they can live up to a yesr without eating...he would process upon demand...he also told me that turtles have 7 types/classes of meat...
interesting...
how can i remember this trivia and forget which end of the chip has a notch....
lol

well, after scouring over my work for 45 minutes...(i sure like to believe i would have found the 3 errors in this period ... and do so appreciate mr joes observations!!!)
powered up...uneventfully...
voltages good...
offset <0.001....
bias @ 0.350 vdc...
letting it burn for a bit...
then hook up in/out puts..
i expect no problems...
i really enjoyed this one...

A message like this is far preferable to the one asking what is wrong with my amp, with no clues, no pictures, no readings, etc.

Good work Gene. Uneventful bring ups are the best...
