You da man Perry, I totally understand your point about the rest of the old shit in the amp but just as long as he knows shit up front.... he does NEED the DC protection board just in case shit does go tits up later on
This reminds me of replacing a brake line on an older vehicle, the new line is the strongest point and usually another line or two will fail because of the increased fluid pressure handling of the new line
